Dr. Downey graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2018 with a Doctorate of Optometry and Masters in Vision Science. She went on to complete a residency in primary eye care and ocular disease at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in 2019. Dr. Downey has been practicing at Simone Eye Center since August 2020 and provides comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and medical optometric management and treatment of ocular disease.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Michigan Optometric Association, and working towards obtaining her Fellowship for the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Downey is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry and Michigan College of Optometry.
